Wanted:  New members for Preston & District Model railway Society

 The Society welcomes new members at all  levels of experience and beginners. Why not come and join us ? Reap the benefit of our experience to help solve your modelling  problems or give us the help we need from yours. Bring your own rolling stock and run it on the club layouts. Enter our modelling competitions & come along to our annual dinner. Help out at the exhibition.

Layout.

 

N Gauge Layout –Thurston 

The layout represents a small country station with branch line and sidings

The trackwork is by Peco except in the fiddle yards which use a cassette system for storage of trains 

The points are controlled by the wire and tube method and electro magnets are installed for uncoupling 

Built to exhibition standard and to be sold as a portable working layout without rolling stock 

Overall size of layout is 10 ft x1ft 6ins –see sketch below
